The founder of the company; Marie-Louise Groot Kormelink decided to create her own cabinets since she was not able to find nice furniture for her children.

The cabinets that she decided to design had to meet the following criteria:

• The models had to be durable and timeless in quality and design.
• The models should appeal to both children and adults.
• The appearance of the furniture had to bring a smile on your face.
